Step Into My Shoes: Week 4

We started this week by checking out the super cool map and talking about who lives in Uganda…lions, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, rhinos, and ostriches! Then Juanito remembered that Cissy lives there too, and Tia Sherinah (tia means aunt in Spanish), so we had to look at the photos of Sherinah visiting Cissy again (Sherinah, our first sponsored child to graduate, visited Cissy, our current sponsored child in Uganda, this past week!).

And then we read Matthew 6:9-13, the children's Bible (along with a story about Jesus calling His disciples). After reading we sang Instruye al Niño en Su Camino, or Train Up a Child (from Steve Green's CD…it's in English and in Spanish).

Then we watched the Step 1c video, Make a Soccer Ball.

Step 01c: Make A Soccer Ball from Compassion International on Vimeo.

Juanito absolutely loved watching Isaac make a ball and play soccer! He had to go find all his soccer balls. And we had a discussion about how his Compassion brothers and sister play soccer also. While on the theme of talking about what our Compassion siblings do for fun, we also watched this fun video from Compassion.

After watching both videos, Juanito wanted to go play soccer. Compassion gives instructions for making a soccer ball like Isaac, which you can check out here. Due to Juanito's lack of patience, we just took off the park to play:
