Sponsors Needed...and a giveaway

I would like to introduce you to two great little fellas that are in need of a sponsor.

Jaider makes his home with his mother. Running errands is his household duty. His mother is employed and there are 2 children in the family.

For fun, Jaider enjoys soccer, singing and playing group games. He attends Bible class regularly and is in kindergarten.

AND

Mekin makes his home with his grandfather and his grandmother, both of whom are sometimes employed as farmers. Working at various household chores is his household duty.

As part of Compassion’s ministry, Mekin participates in church activities. He is also in kindergarten where his performance is average. Rolling a hoop, playing with cars and playing with marbles are his favorite activities.

I have a great “New Sponsor Pack” to give to anyone who steps up to sponsor these boys.

Here’s a peek at what will be included….

  • Compassion t-shirt (size small)
  • Too Small to Ignore by Wess Stafford
  • Compassion bracelet
  • Magnetic photo frame combination
  • Correspondence kit (with LOTS of extra goodies)
  • Family sponsorship kit (which includes A Country Far Away by Nigel Gray

Also included in the family sponsorship kit…

  • beautiful folder
  • worksheets for your child
  • poster to fill about your sponsored child and your own child
  • bank (cut out and fold up to make it)

Would you join me in praying for these two boys? Specifically that God would lead someone to sponsor them?

Jaider and Mekin are just adorable!! I would love to sponsor but cannot afford a forth child right now. I will for sure post this blog on my own to get more traffic your way! May I also ask where you got the t-shirt, Compassion bracelet, and magnetic photo frame? I would to purchase it!

the t-shirt is an extra I got from working a festival the summer, the bracelet is one my husband had made (I can send you one sometime) and the frame...a gift from Compassion at some point. If no one sponsors these boys, then I will have separate giveaways for the t-shirt and frame.

Hey Jill, here is a post on my blog of your give-away. I also wanted to join you in encouraging others to sponsor Jaider and Mekin. If anyone steps up to sponsor is also a follower of my blog (or becomes a follower), I will also throw in a welcome kit that I have put together. I hope this is okay with you. I can give as many kits as needed. Just let me know. Hopefully this will offer an extra incentive to sponsor. Praying for someone to step up for the boys! Take care and God Bless!

Praying! I have recently taken on another compassion child or I would take these two precious babies. I was wondering, where did you get the poster about the sponsor and child? Do you know of there have been any problems sending posters over the 8 1/2 by 11 size restrictions? Is it ok to send it if it folds to smaller?

The poster came from the family sponsor kit that Compassion offers (it's an advocate resource). It folds in half and is the 8 1/2 x 11. It's meant for the sponsor to keep - I think they recommend laminating it and using it as a placemat.

At any rate, I have never sent anything larger than 8 1/2 x 11, but I've heard of others who have simply folded up their posters or banners and sent them to their compassion kids. It doesn't hurt to call Compassion and ask (they are so helpful) or simply sending it...if it doesn't meet the guidelines, they won't send it on.
