Families of the World

My daughters and I watched one of these dvds today, which we borrowed from our library. It was an excellent look into how kids and their families live in different countries around the world. There are several that feature countries in which Compassion ministers ~ Kenya, Ghana, Brazil, Mexico (there are 2 for Mexico), Thailand, India and Guatemala (they are currently working on the Philippines).

I am excited to see if we can get more titles through our library. Take a look around the website to see sample clips...Families of the World

  1. Thanks for the recommendation! Our library website appears to be down right now, but I will check to see if we can order these later!

  2. Fantastic idea, Jill! I currently checked out War Dance (a documentary about kids in Uganda and how music helps them through their struggles) from our library, as the Compassion child we're sponsoring is from Uganda. I thought it might be good for my kids (and husband) to see that section of the world in a different light. It's rated PG 13 though, so I'll be keeping a close eye...
