vulnerable
Children living in poverty are among the most vulnerable people in the world. Unable to care and provide for themselves, unable to trust those who should be caring and providing for them, children living in poverty often find themselves in dire and hopeless situations. Some work as slaves to work off their parents' debt. Some are sold into the sex trade by their parents. Some are orphaned because of HIV Aids.
Compassion recognizes this vulnerability and has created a highly successful model of holistic child development for all stages of a child's life. For more information about this model, simply go HERE.

value
The founders and leaders of Compassion recognize the value of children in our society. Too often we see children as an inconvenience - getting in the way of our plans. Even in most churches we send the children off to do their own thing - we get them out of the way so we can have a break from them.
Jesus saw the value in children...
"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." ~ Matthew 19:14
