Do you remember these pictures? This is Dominic Muchangi in Kenya and he's holding a basket his mother made. Last month Julie went to Kenya and delivered a gift to Dominic Muchangi from us. He must have known he was meeting someone who was representing his sponsor because he brought along this basket to send home to us.
This beautiful, handwoven basket now sits in our home.
It is such a treasure. I'm not sure how we'll end up using it, but we're beginning to have a "Compassion" room of sorts so it will definitely find a place in there. I took some pictures of us holding it so we can send them to Dominic and his mother.
