Next we sang "En Ti Confio" or "When I Am Afraid" (from Steve Green's CD…it's in English and in Spanish).
After reading and singing, we watched Enough Safety:
Then we read A Country Far Away and Manuel & Manuel.
After seeing the beds for the kids in Uganda and Rwanda, Juanito and I discussed what our beds are like and if we need mosquito nets. Juanito claims that when mosquitos enter our house, they stay in the kitchen, and that's why we don't need nets. And then we went on a search to count the beds in the house!
We found three beds and Juanito had to try them all out. Rosie wanted to join in by the last bed! I love being able to talk with Juanito about the differences and similarities we have with our sponsored kids. It opens the door for us to pray for the kids to have beds and safety and allows him to relate because we all have to sleep on some kind of bed!
