Ecuador
Compassion began its ministry in Ecuador in 1974, when the Child Sponsorship Program was started. Currently, more than 65,600 children participate in more than 225 child development centers. In 2002, the Leadership Development Program began, followed by the Child Survival Program in 2003.

El Salvador
