Individual child sponsorship is the heart of Compassion's ministry. Currently there are over 1,172,170 children sponsored through the CDSP around the world.
For $38 a month you can sponsor your own child. You will individually linked to that child and are invited to develop a relationship with the child through letters. It might take a while to get to know one another, but it's real. Through letters you can encourage your child in their education, their spiritual development and in pursuing their dreams.
Your sponsorship helps provide:
- food and clean water
- medical care
- educational opportunities
- important life-skills training
- the opportunity to hear about Jesus Christ and an invitation to respond to the gospel
Although it may seem like the child sponsored will experience profound change, it is common for the sponsor to also experience change. I know this to be true in my own life.
