He is Risen!
This scripture lends itself beautifully to prayer. Perhaps you could write to your sponsored child this week and write this verse as a prayer for them. Expand a bit and talk about what it means to bear fruit and to grow in the knowledge of God.
WEEK 9:Fruitfulness: ______ is a disciple of God. Pray that this child will live a life that is fruitful for His kingdom. Pray that this child will be a good student in school and in the project and learn all the lessons well. Pray also for good Scripture memorization."And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God." ~Colossions 1:10
Another idea taken from this week's prayer guide is to invite your sponsored child to memorize certain Bible verses with you.
Hi, Jill. Hope your Easter was amazing. We are in Fl with my sister and Mike/Amber. Just this week... our chaperones friends from the COTW posted several videos on my fb. I wish you could see them. I just cry and cry as I watch them. I am not sure how to save it to my computer or post on my blog.
ReplyDeleteDid I tell you about our Jamira who is sponsored from World Help and all I found out? I will have to fill you in.
Our chaperone friend went to visit the Ugandan girls and Jamira hasn't received any of our letters or packages. My heart was broken....
any way.... just thought I would say HI.
Much love,
Teena
