Then please come back and let me know what you think.
I'm sure you'll have an emotional response right away, but give yourself some time to think about it, and then come back here so we can have a conversation.

Both links actually worked, it just took about 20 minutes to load for some reason. But anyway, thanks SO much for posting this. It was very challenging! I listened to it today while I was making dinner and then Joel and I listened to it together after the kids went to bed. So good and just what we needed to hear. I feel like we were so passionate about helping the poor and the least of these 2 years ago, but then it kind of fizzled out. Lately God has been reminding us of it again and challenging us to make some life changes. So thank you for sharing this!

Im curious if people think Chan is:
1. crazy (he's lost touch with reality and financial stewardship)
2. right, (and we just dont have enough faith)
3. Biblicaly correct but practically incorrect
4. Making an emotional fallacy in his argument
5. Other...
So what do you think? We would love to hear what others think as we've talked about all of the above.

In response to your husband's question, I would say that #2 and 3# are probably correct, but I would also say that I have found nothing in the Bible that calls us to be practical.
...to be continued (the told me my comment was too long...)

So, it may not seem practical, but I know people who have made the sacrifices that Chan talks about and lives out, and I think we should all examine our lives and seek God in what we could be sacrificing, because I am sure most of us could be doing more...a lot more.
