One Beautiful Thing ~ Jackson Mwaniki

One of our boys, Dominic Muchangi in Kenya, will soon be graduating from the Compassion program. After 11 years of sponsorship, I'm not ready to say goodbye, yet I know it's inevitable. 

I contacted Compassion to see if perhaps one of his younger brothers would be eligible for sponsorship. One is, but he's already sponsored by someone in France. 

So the next best thing was to request another child from the same project. 

Yesterday when I logged into my Compassion account, I saw they had linked us to a 13 year old boy named Jackson Mwaniki. 

Their sponsorship will overlap for a couple months and I'm hoping the two make the connection that they are sponsored by the same family. I've already written to Dominic, encouraging him to be a "big brother" to Jackson.

This is my one beautiful thing from this week. A new boy to love, pray for and encourage. Welcome to the family, Jackson.
